Keynote Speaker
Flora Jessop ~ Polygamy Survivor
Flora is an anti-polygamy activist and Founder of “The Child Protection Project” to help children escape polygamy and start new lives. Flora fled Colorado City as a teenager after she was held hostage for years in her uncle’s home. She tells the compelling story of her escape from Colorado City and the details of the child abuse and forced marriages of polygamy. Flora has also assisted in legal proceedings against polygamy.

How To Find Your Public Voice
This program focuses on using the female speaking voice with articulate authority. It explores the emotions - positive and negative - that swirl around public speaking, and defines the most desirable qualities to strive for in any public forum: confidence, assertiveness, and attentiveness. Whether your practice is corporate or business, whether you are a trial attorney, or whether you would like to maximize your effectiveness while communicating in meetings and other smaller settings, this program will inform and entertain.

A diverse panel including a business development coach, a public relations consultant, and highly successful rainmakers will provide practical tips and strategies for building and retaining business in challenging economic times, and discuss how to use social media and networking.
How To Become A Judge
This panel will discuss and answer your questions, whether you are seeking a judgeship at the appellate, superior court, municipal, or federal level. Each judge will provide insight into her experiences in the application and selection process, and we will hear from experienced commissioners regarding the interview process.
THE AWLA FOUNDATION
SILENT AUCTION
The AWLA Foundation has been formed to act as the charitable arm of AWLA, and is in the process of seeking Internal Revenue Service approval as a 501(c)(3) corporation.
The Foundation’s Board will be having a Silent Auction at the Convention to raise funds. Come prepared to bid on some exciting items!
